Sleep, sleep now,
My sleepless nights,
You have earned it.
Haven’t you toiled enough?
In the scorching sun,
Your body is burnt.
The mountain has moved an inch,
The world, shaken by your faith,
Repose!
Splotches of your blood
Are all dried up,
They will heal soon.
Lie down on this complacent bed
that I made for you
After drying your sweat.
Take a deep breath,
Oh! restless one!
Your anxieties are dead.
You can shut that wonderful brain now,
And not think a thing,
That had you awake.
You are at the finish line,
There is nowhere to go,
You have reached the end.
Take these flowers too
That I beaded for you,
So you don’t smell as foul.
You have made it to the skies,
And become a star,
There is nothing beyond.
Not a worry in the world,
You have had them all,
Nothing left to feast on.
Here’s your plaque
That you were yearning for,
It says ‘the best human ever!’
Here are all the riches,
That you were asking for
To take to your grave.
Oh! Did you not want that?
What else do I have to offer?
Let me check in the material book.
Maybe this rocking chair,
That might help
To lull you to sleep.
Or a car perchance?
To help you steer
Away from your trial.
You have done it all,
You are a conqueror,
Here’s a history page.
Hush! Hush! It’s over!
Go ahead and lie down,
It is time for bed.
