Some pieces evoke a deep sense of pathos, this is one of them. Every time I listen to it, every time I watch its beautifully crafted video, I can’t stop myself from reflecting over it for hours.
This is what I ended up commenting on the video on Youtube after watching it for the umpteenth time yesterday for it flared on my suggestions once again.
I like to think that man personifies a good time. We are so bent on hanging on to our ‘funerals’, our daily chores, our sorrows, our bad times and regrets, that we overlook that one shot we always have at our salvation, of letting go of the bad stuff that is continuously dragging us down. Had she taken the leap of faith, she would have encountered impromptu challenges, yes, with its very own ups and downs, but she would have been happy at least, with that cathartic step of moving on.
That man is that window she could have chosen, but she chooses the funeral instead ergo all the events she witnesses are nothing but her ruminative dreamy regret.
