Power is control –
A shard of myth
That you think you own,
But you are a marionette
Dangling at fate’s behest.
You think you moved?
You are pushed.
You think you are quiet?
You have been silenced.
Think you have spoken?
You have been forced to scream –
A painful bellow,
You have been marked yellow
For life,
You have been picked up
And put down
Like a pawn on a chessboard
Who always charges
To die first.
Your whole life is
A pointless charade,
Tied on a juggernaut
Without a steering wheel
To go as you please,
You have forever
Tried to please others.
You have never been powerful,
You were never in control.
Take a step back
And ask yourself –
Where lies your power?
Under whose control?
