Lost boy! Lost boy!
Where did you go?
Your world seeks you,
But you barely know.
You went up the mountains,
Didn’t tumble down,
You liked it up there,
Why’d you touch the ground?
You raced through the meadows
And rolled on the grass,
You sang new songs
Away from the mass.
You went to the forest
And hugged many trees,
You prayed for them all,
Went down on your knees.
You flew with the birds,
Even touched the sky,
Fed them with your hands,
Bagels and rye.
You swam in the river
And danced with the fish,
Pulled out their hooks,
Made a silent wish.
When you were hungry,
You only had fruits,
Didn’t miss the hogging,
You would do with the brutes.
You turned all grungy –
An untidy elf,
The world still seeks,
But you found yourself.
